This is a back-dated entry to let everyone out there who's looking at this journal but is not on my friends list know that I've set all my entries as friends-only (well, almost all). I have joined the livejournal revolution (resistance is futile, you will be assimilated, etc etc).

Here is entry number one in a livejournal which I do not foresee using on a particularly regular basis, but which is necessary to comment on other people's journals, and which may, at some unspecified future date, prove crucial for certain pressing state interests.
